An email alias is an email that shares a mailbox with a different e-mail address. For example, you could have [email protected] as well as [email protected] and emails sent to either one of them will be received in one and the same mailbox. This option will make it a lot easier and much more convenient to manage various e-mail addresses as you will need to log into only one mailbox if you work with webmail or configure one single e-mail address in a email app on your desktop. When you set up an alias, you will not only have the ability to receive e-mails, but you'll also be able to send out emails from the various addresses and they will share the Outbox, so you will still have all communication in one location. Working with aliases is an alternative to using various mailboxes for different purposes or forwarding a single e-mail address to another one so that you can control the e-mails of both in one place.
